It is the authors opinion that NCAT is not unlike a protection racket for the NSW government

SERIOUS CONCERN #1

What should be of major concern to the NSW public is that former Crown Solicitor Lea Armstrong has been appointed NCAT president.

The Crown Solicitors Office is a specialist legal service for the exclusive use of NSW government agencies who’s required to protect the NSW government at all costs.

The Crown Solicitors Office is both funded & (services) paid for by NSW taxpayers.

The appointment of a former government protector to the “impartial” & “independent” NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal sounds like the very same “stacking” that the former government undertook with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal which was abolished by the current federal government

16/12/2022

The Australian Government has announced that the AAT will be abolished and replaced with a new federal administrative review body. The AAT will continue operating until the new federal administrative review body is established. Once the new body is established, any remaining cases will transition to the new body.

Further information is available on the New federal administrative review body web page.

SERIOUS CONCERN #2
Many ex-Crown Solicitors Office staff are “appointed” as NCAT tribunal members
For example:
Christa Ludlow (pg78 NCAT Annual Report 2021-2022)
John Lonsdale
Juliet Lucy (pg78 NCAT Annual Report 2021-2022)
